The Best Book I’ve Read In a Long Time

I’m so excited and I just can’t hide it. To be fair and square though, and brutally honest, this post isn’t necessarily about books. I haven’t actually read this book, nor is it available for anyone else to read. Frankly, it’s not even written. There are chapters though, filled with every kind of emotion known to man. Each chapter was incredibly thought out, with intense, articulate and immaculate detail, described with more feeling than perhaps any writer could place on paper. There is some uncertainty when it ends, but if I could guess, I’d say it’s not for a very, very long time. So then, what on earth am I talking about?

Well, it’s simple. My life.

The book started out way before I was even created. Probably at some point when my mother and father decided to get hanky panky and create a baby. Their business obviously was a success, because nine months later, just in time for dinner, there I was. A head full of hair, which I understand can and did cause a great deal of heartburn to Mama, and a fresh new Catalino was born.

Our lives are like a book, and with a world population of seven point six billion, there are still no two books that are the same. Within these books you’ll find chapters. Some chapters are boring, while others exciting. Some are scary, and others filled with laughter. When we are little, we don’t have much choice with the kind of world we are brought into. Some of us grow up in dangerous places where one must fear for their life. Some of us grow up in cities surrounded by all walks of life. In my case, I grew up in a small town of five thousand people, and just like anywhere, it comes with it’s challenges. The best part though is that when we get older, we can learn about wisdom and life itself, and then we can create the chapters a little better on how we would like to see them unfold. We can make choices that better our lives, or make it more challenging than it really should be. Life is about learning, and when we place our focus on some key components, we can live it awesomely.

Well, I’ve learned how to live that way. Remember, I’m no different than you. I was once a kid, and now choose to live like a kid, full of imagination and effortless joy. I choose to laugh through life. I choose not to take things so personally like I use to. Remember, my life came and continues to come with it’s challenges, just like anyone. I realized after carrying around mountains on my shoulders for years, those mountains weren’t meant to carry. They were meant to climb. I slowly but surely learned how to love my life, and now the view from the top of this mountain is incredible, breathtaking, and beautiful. I’m so grateful, filled with excitement, that I can live honestly and openly, to share it with all of you, to show the world that it’s possible for anyone to make a great change in their life. All in all, to feel better. It feels so wonderful to be able to do this, just like when we discover a great book. We want to pass it on to everyone we come in contact with. Because I made this choice, I now have wonderful relationships. The greater part of my days are brilliant. I’m accepting of myself. The people around me are fun and supportive. I get to travel a lot, eat what I please, and, best of all, laugh through it. It continues to unfold beautifully, even through the thick, the thin, and the in-between. So, how did I do it, one might think?

Stick around more often because I’d love to teach you how.
